PennCore Consulting LLC is seeking an enthusiastic Civil Designer/Engineer-In-Training (EIT) to join our Engineering group.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Utilizes internal resources to gather information to create base maps: contour data, aerial imagery, road/highway location data, stream/wetland location data, etc.
- Uses AutoCAD Civil3D to create 3D surface models
- Develops erosion and sediment control plans and corresponding reports
- Develops post construction storm water management plans and corresponding reports
- Prepares ESCGP-3 and NPDES permits
- Develops construction specifications
- Develops issued for construction (IFC) drawings
- Develops highway occupancy permit drawings
- Identifies possible design issues and constraints
- Gathers construction details from previous projects and tailors certain details to fit specifications of current projects
- Assists utility companies with any questions concerning project location and aids them to accurately mark utilities
- Performs hydraulic and other calculations
- Performs site visits and construction inspections
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
- EIT license preferred but not required
- + 2-4 years of professional experience preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with Microsoft 365 software
- Must exhibit a positive attitude, have excellent communication skills and work well alone and with others in a team environment
This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefit package and competitive wages.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements :
- Associates Degree in Surveying Technology or Equivalent Work Experience
- Basic understanding of the AutoCAD Civil3D platforms to prepare base maps from raw data obtained in the field
- Requires basic understanding of survey equipment and technology of surveying activities. SurveyPro, Civil3D, ArcGIS
Preferred Qualifications :
- Knowledge of Oil and Gas Related Surveying is a plus but not required
-- S.I.T or obtain within 6 months of hire
Responsible for operation and care of all survey instruments including Total Station, Level, and GPS. Will be responsible for performing property surveys, topographic survey and mapping, construction stakeout and other survey projects for private, government and commercial clients. We are actively seeking a Survey Manager to join our team of professionals in Williamsport or Harrisburg, PA. As a Survey Manager, Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing and preparing land surveys associated with engineering and land surveying projects.
Providing technical support and hands on assistance with office and field operations to a team of survey technicians.
Ensuring quality of surveys, providing review of essential data demonstrated on plans and drawings.
Managing workflow to provide for cost-efficient survey processes.
Managing land survey projects including project budgeting and scheduling.
Interacting and providing quality public relations to clients and engineering teams.
Mentors junior staff.
Attending county and municipal meetings associated with plan approvals.
Requirements:
Professional Surveyor License in Pennsylvania with 10+ years survey experience to include boundary, topography, Land Title Surveys, PennDOT surveys, engineering design surveys for land development, utilities, roadways, and structures.
Possesses a working knowledge of:
Surveying principles and practices
Surveying boundary law and concepts
Expertise in Subdivisions, ALTA Surveys, and Easement plats/documents
Use of Trimble instrumentation, robotic total station and GNSS
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GNSS applications, and Microsoft Office
UAV or Drone Pilot License (is a plus)
Previous managerial experience with a survey department and client management is preferred
Must be a leader and team player possessing good communication and planning skills
Must have the flexibility for same day travel to field and job sites, meetings, and other offices (Valid driver's license is required)
Candidate may work remotely (at times).
